New call under the EIT HEI Initiative aimed at boosting innovation in higher education | 1st Info session: 17/11 | EIT & coordinator EIT RawMaterials
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and coordinator EIT RawMaterials are launching a new call under the EIT HEI Initiative aimed at boosting innovation in higher education. The newly announced call will mobilise up to EUR 12 million of EIT funding for higher education institutions (HEIs) and their partners. A new feature of this year’s call will be a special focus on training tech talents in higher education, aligned with the EIT’s new flagship programme Deep Tech Talent Initiative, which is set to skill one million European talents by 2023.
The HEI Initiative (www.eit-hei.eu) aims to reinforce the competitiveness of Europe by strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of HEIs and empowering them to become key actors in innovation ecosystems.

A Third Call for Proposals was launched on 8 November 2022. They call for consortia to create individualised action plans which take a long-term view toward innovation and entrepreneurial capacity. These action plans should be designed on the basis of an HEInnovate self-assessment for each HEI, in order to drive the choice of Actions proposed for funding and institutional change.

This webinar is the first of four Info Sessions for the HEI Initiative Call 3 for Proposals, each one building on the previous. This first webinar, Call 3 General Overview, will cover the following topics:
  • An overview of the EIT HEI Initiative and Call 3: We will briefly present the objectives of the HEI Initiative, its success so far, and the overarching scope of the Third Call for Proposals
  • Eligibility, Evaluation and Administration: We will take you through the eligibility and pre-defined requirements in the Third Call, in order to clearly present what is expected and answer any questions you may have.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the HEI Initiative Team.

Date of webinar: 17 November 2022
Time of webinar: 11:00 - 12:15 CET
Registration deadline: 16 November 2022, 13:00

*The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) is an independent body of the European Union set up in 2008 to deliver innovation across Europe. The EIT brings together leading business, education and research organisations to form dynamic cross-border partnerships.
